For more than 33 years, Chelgrave have been providing quality workforce solutions to a broad cross section of Blue Chip clients. During this time they have developed an enviable reputation as the experts in supplying quality Ticketed, Trades and Technical Professional employees to meet both temporary and permanent requirements.
“Our experience gives clients access to industry experts who have the ability to hit the ground running, integrate into different work teams and environments and apply their skills,” said Greg Scott, general manager, Chelgrave Contracting. “From boilermakers to civil engineers, riggers to draftspersons, at Chelgrave we’re committed to ensuring clients and employees are matched correctly.”
Chelgrave supply quality Ticketed, Trades and Technical Professional employees to meet both the temporary and permanent requirements of their clients.
“We call them the three T’s, Ticketed, Trades and Technical, and by focusing our resources on developing our employees’ careers in these specific areas there is no doubt that we have become the experts in Technical Labour Hire,” explained Greg. “You won’t find us looking for administration staff or unskilled labour.
Case in point is the ongoing relationship that Chelgrave enjoy with the team at Australian Paper providing maintenance shutdown solutions at the plant.
“As part of the maintenance shutdown services we have completed in the past we have provided not only skilled tradespeople to complete the work, but also planners and supervisors to ensure the projects were completed on-time, on budget and with minimum fuss,” explained Greg. “We are now working with Australian Paper assisting with planning the upcoming annual shutdowns in February and May 2012.”
“We understand asset maintenance and it’s great that Australian Paper has recongised our expertise in this area, by engaging us to work with them in planning their annual shutdown,” said Greg. “Once the planning is complete, our team will turn its attention to resourcing and executing maintenance activities over the shutdown. This will include tasks such as supervising, staffing, arranging for parts and other supplies and maintaining Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety matters.
Chelgrave has a rigorous safety management framework and have fostered a ‘Zero Harm’ philosophy throughout their long and successful history. On all sites stringent safety plans are in place and they have developed a framework for interacting with clients and employees including initial site safety audits, regular toolbox talks, incident reporting and on the rare occasion that an employee is injured, return to work coordination.
“Our ISO9001 accreditation and our pending OH&S accreditation to AS/ANZ 4801 and Environmental accreditation to ISO 14001 really adds value, focus and support to Australia Paper during critical shutdowns and throughout the year,” Greg explained.
“Most of our clients operate their project or facility within an asset lifecycle environment. Whether it’s a new project to build a bridge, or an existing manufacturing facility undergoing maintenance activities, our staff can assist.”
