Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced E&I’s to join our shutdown team for an exciting project at BlueScope Steel in Hastings. This is a casual shutdown role scheduled to assist with the commissioning phase for new gas fired ovens in the Coated Paint Line on site at BlueScope Steel. You will be working with engineers and gas fitters as part of a crew over the length of the commissioning phase.
The commencement date is the 22nd of September and will run for an estimated 2 weeks. There is a requirement for two day and night shift E&Is. It will be on a rolling roster doing 12-hour days and nights across the length of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the commissioning of new gas fired ovens.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize gas system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all site safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified “A” Grade Electrician
• Certificate IV in Electrotechnology and Instrumentation
• Experience with Siemens PLCs preferable
• PID Temperature control loop experience
• Wiring and power panel check experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
