Validation Engineer

Working as part of a dedicated team upgrading a Melbourne based pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility, you need to have a good working understanding of validation protocols, documentation and systems of work. 
You are highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills capable of interacting at all levels of the business.
A quality related focus and understanding of risk management principles relating to automation and business technology (BT) systems is highly desirable.
 
Skills & experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Thorough and detailed TECHNICAL documentation skills including MS Office
  • Ability to communicate with all relevant departments in clear and concise ways and negotiate to achieve project consensus and buy-in from each relevant department individual particularly related to timeliness
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, networking, and system security fundamentals
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approaches to solving difficult problems
  • Team oriented, but self-motivated to achieve goals and deadlines
  • Experience working with PLC based control systems

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years collective experience in pharma industry
  • An understanding of the TGA and FDA regulatory requirements 
  • A good understanding of the purpose, design and function of the following technologies:
    • SCADA, PLC systems (Equipment/Automation communication)
    • Network Infrastructure (network devices, servers, operating systems)
  • Broad understanding of business functions and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to meet business target objectives
  • Highly developed problem solving and planning skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within project time frames
  • Ability to work independently, self-managed and highly motivated
